NEW YORK – MAY 10, 2013 – Univision Radio, the leading radio network serving Hispanic America, will premiere an exclusive Spanish version of Ariana Grande’s gold-selling smash single “The Way” [Republic Records] this Friday, May 10 on select Univision Radio stations across the country. The actress and singer recorded this Spanish version of the hit song exclusively for Univision Radio.

About this new version, Grande excitedly comments, “The past month has been like a dream come true, and the response to ‘The Way’ has been so amazing already. Now, it’s so exciting to bring this song to my Latin fans with a very special recording—for them.  I’m so happy for everybody to hear it.”

Republic Records Executive Vice President Charlie Walk echoes her excitement, “Ariana’s impact worldwide is simply staggering. This is a phenomenal opportunity to speak directly to a massive and devoted segment of her demographic and, as a label, we’re thrilled to invite that audience closer to this young superstar. Univision recently launched the Uforia music service to align the company’s music efforts under one umbrella and solidify Univision as Hispanic America’s home of audio entertainment. Part of the Uforia evolution is to work with emerging artists, helping them to break onto the music scene and connect with U.S. Hispanics.

Right now, Grande is preparing her full-length debut for Republic Records, due out later this year. In addition to being certified Gold by the RIAA, the music video for “The Way” has surpassed 20 million YouTube/VEVO views and counting in less than a month. Grande rose to immense popularity starring in the hit show Victorious. In addition, her spin-off Sam & Cat is set to premiere in June 2013. Singing and performing since the age of eight, music remains Grande’s first love. Over the course of her career, she carved out an overwhelming fan base online. The Huffington Post listed her as the “Third Most Influential Actress Online” above Miley Cyrus and Jennifer Aniston, while Billboard even dubbed her “Most Influential Person to Watch Online”. To date, she has amassed 6 million Twitter followers, 3 million Facebook likes, 3.6 million Instagram followers, and 200 million YouTube/VEVO views.

Ariana’s Spanish version of “The Way” will premiere on the below Univision Radio stations as well as on Univision.com and across Univision Radio’s social media footprint.

Billboard: Last thing before you go, when can we expect the album? Is there a release date or month, a season?
Ariana: I’m going to say like late August, early September, type area.Billboard: We won’t hold you to it, we know how this stuff works.

Back in May, Ariana and Victoria performed their new song, “LA Boyz“, at the Universal Studios concert. On Air with Ryan Seacrest exclusively revealed the studio version a few days ago! The song is now on iTunes for digital downloading for $1.29. The music video for the song is premiering today (October 20th) on Nickelodeon during the new Victorious episode, “Two Girls and a Moose“. Last week, we informed the Victorious fans about Victorious 3.0, the final album for the show. Victorious 3.0: Even More Music From The Hit TV Show will be available via all digital service providers and a commemorative Hollywood Arts Fan Edition will be sold exclusively at Wal-Mart stores. This special ‘ZinePak will include two bonus songs and a 48-page magazine consisting of behind-the-scenes imagesfrom the show, cast Q&A and a look back at the most memorable music moments from the series.

A music video for the brand-new track “L.A. Boyz” will premiere on Thursday, Oct 18 on Nickelodeon. Victoria Justice and Ariana Grande will also perform “L.A. Boyz” on the upcoming episode of Victorious, “Three Girls and a Moose,” premiering this Saturday, Oct. 20, at 8:30 p.m. (ET/PT) on Nickelodeon.
